A birthday is a time to celebrate! And nothing gives a little extra birthday-cheer like a discount! Birthday freebies or discounts are pretty regular in the States (if you’ve gotten that lil chocolate cake at Red Robin then you know what I’m talking about), but I wasn’t sure if it was a thing here in Budapest. But thankfully, there are a few to be found. I’ve compiled a list of birthday discounts or freebies that Budapest has to offer. Take a look!
Food and Drink
Did someone say sushi? Wasabi Sushi offers a 100% birthday discount on their all-you-can-eat menu (and 50% off on your name day!). This one looks super tempting to me–who hasn’t wondered how much they could really eat at a buffet if there were no limits? This is the perfect opportunity to find out! Good luck. The offer can be redeemed up to 7 days before or after your special day, and online booking is mandatory. Also make sure to bring your ID!
Activities
Para Hotel Escape Room: If you like horror-movie type thrills, Para Hotel gives you a chance to step into a during a 90 minute escape room experience. If you like using your wits and unraveling puzzles, this could be an engaging birthday activity for you! Bookings are for minimum 3 people (4000 HUF each) and the birthday boy or girl gets in for free (but be sure to pre-register via their website).
G1 Go Kart Center: Do you feel the need for speed? If you celebrate your birthday at the G1 Go Kart Center with your friends, the birthday boy or girl gets to ride for free. The center provides the racing gear, so you can dress for the afterparty and still be taken care of. Adrenaline should be easy to find on the largest indoor karting track in Budapest!
Orczy Adventure Park: If you want a physical challenge, consider the ropes course at Orczy Adventure Park, up in the wooded hills of Buda. This one could be fun for kids or kids-at-heart A regular place for team building, birthdays, or other events, the adventure park lets participants test their balance and their mettle as they navigate through courses of varying difficulty. And the birthday boy or girl gets in free (just be sure to bring an ID)!
