Are you working remotely in Budapest? Of course, there are plenty of working cafes, but sometimes you just want more of an office environment. I’ve partnered with Kubik Coworking for years and have had such a good experience there! If you’re looking for a coworking space in Budapest, I hope that this review of Kubik can help you out!
Quick Details:
- Location: District 13, next to Margaret Bridge
- Memberships: Day pass (half or full), flex membership, hot desk
- Amenities: Kitchen, printing, private phone booth, meeting rooms, café

The Vibe of Kubik Coworking
What I love about Kubik Coworking is that it’s very relaxing. The huge windows looking out to the river make sure the place is drenched in natural light, and all of the plants and comfy furniture make it so chill. You can go upstairs to the Quiet Zone to focus on your work, or grab a table downstairs if you’re more open to chatting.
The reception team is so lovely (love you ladies <3), and really, everyone I’ve met there is quite friendly. However, people are quite focused, so you’ll still be able to get your work done. Even though Kubik can be a social place, it’s really more of a place where you can have friendly conversations in between knocking out all of your work.
Amenities
You’ll have everything you need for a successful workday. Aside from a daily free coffee at their cafe, Kubik also has
- printing/scanning
- phone booths for private calls
- offices for reservation
- full kitchen
- 24/7 access (for top-tier membership)
- events throughout the year (from the Easter breakfast to the Christmas party and numerous socials dotted throughout the year)
Types of Memberships
Kubik has a wide range of memberships, from a half-day pass to a fixed-desk pass. You should be able to find something whether you’re just in town for the week, or are looking for your new Budapest coworking home base. Explore Kubik’s membership options here!
The Neighborhood

Kubik’s location is one of the best parts! First of all, it’s quite easy to get to: the Jászai Mari Tér tram stop is just a 3 minute walk away, and serviced by both the #4/6 and #2 trams.
The bordering Pozsonyi Street is lined with bars, cafes, and bakeries, so you’ll never run out of places to go on your lunch break. Some of my favorites are:
- Három Tarka Macska (bakery)
- Gaby’s (kitcshy American bistro vibes)
- Babka Deli (quick lunch)
- Mr & Mrs. Béry (bakery and cafe)
The neighborhood is also right on the riverside, so a walk down the leafy, tree-lined streets or the riverfront is perfect for getting away from your screen. Margaret Island is right there, as well, which makes for a great nature walk.
If you walk 5 minutes across the tram line back into the 5th district, you’ll be on Gallery Street (Falk Miksa Utca), where you can browse more than a few of Budapest’s most famous art galleries (like the Virág Judit). After work, you can hop on over to the Budapest Jazz Club for a nightcap or an early show, or toast to a job-well-done at the champagne bar, Habozó.
So yeah, Kubik is friendly, in an amazing location, and perfectly equipped to get all of your work done. If you’re looking for a Budapest coworking space near the 13th/5th districts, definitely stop by Kubik! And tell Évi I said hi!
Happy working!
