Star Wars Under the Stars: Budapest Rooftop Cinema

As if I need another reason to love Budapest, I recently discovered the Budapest Rooftop Cinema.

I spent one Friday night snuggled up under the stars watching “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, and the rest of this season’s screenings hold options of classics and new releases alike (Jurassic Park, anyone?). Tickets are 1490 Ft ($5.50) for one or 2790 Ft ($10.25) for two.

The airy rooftop and its views of Budapest’s wedding cake-topper buildings seem like a hidden gem–but traverse the many stairs and sticky floors of Corvin Club and you’ll find it!

Seating is first come-first served, so get there early! You can munch on a hot dog (or in my case, spill the toppings all over yourself) while enjoying the sunset view.

So snuggle up with a blanket (you can get one from the bar for a 1000 Ft deposit), grab some popcorn, and enjoy the show! Actually–enjoy your life! You’re at a rooftop cinema in Budapest, after all!
